Commissions:

September 2023: Completed Lisa’s Africa, a commission to make a sculpture for a client who was born and grew up in Rhodesia. She requested an art piece to display with her collection of African masks. The client supplied African batik wax fabrics and African keepsakes. I made an abstract mask sculpture to hang on the wall within her collection.

May 2024: Do You See What I See? was commissioned by Croydon Art Space for an exhibition themed The Mirror of Life. My parameters were that it must only use black and white fabrics (and possibly silver) and be 40cm high. I created two mirrored ‘stems’, one of which starts with black fabrics and works towards white and the other vice versa. This sculpture contains important life moments: birth, death, marriage, togetherness, loneliness.

Other news:

31 July, 2023: Longlisted by the Visual Artists Association for the Visual Art Open 2023 UK & International Emerging Artist Awards.
