Embroideries
In early 2024 I came across free motion machine embroidery, which uses a sewing machine to create stitched shapes. I investigated whether I had the skills to use free motion machine embroidery to add further interesting elements to my sculptures. I disovered a whole fascinating world of modern embroidery previously unknown to me. I enrolled in an online class which introduced me to the intricacies and skills of this fascinating art form.
But I realised that not only could I use this embroidery on my sculptures, I could also use it in its own right to create artworks. I have started small, but who knows where this could lead?!
